AMZ Seller Financing • July 23, 2018
mazon gives you a fantastic opportunity to sell online – and actually make a living – from the comfort of your home. In order to get started, you might need a loan, because every new business requires some kind of financial impetus, and you will also need products you want to sell. Once you have enough money to get things going, you will start selling in no time. It’s actually possible to register your own Amazon store and start selling within hours, provided that you have products in stock and an approved seller account.
This is where things come to a grinding halt, as they say. There are many people who want to sell on Amazon, but they don’t know what to sell. The options are numerous, and the market is saturated as it is. This is why it’s getting really hard to make a smart decision and focus solely on those products that will rake in a significant income on a regular basis. But, like all things, it’s possible to make a good living from your Amazon store, you just need to know how.
Why is branding important?
One of the best ways to secure good sales is to create a brand, or to turn your products into a brand. This is also known as a private label, or private label products. The definition of a private label is simple: it is a product that you own, as a retailer, own legally. Now, the good news (or, great news) is that you are not required to actually make i.e. manufacture the product yourself in order to own it. You can simply hire someone to do it for you, under your own private label. It is a form of outsourcing, and it’s getting more and more popular.
Private-label products are a smart way to boost your Amazon business and attract a lot of customers. Regular, or so-called generic products, are getting very hard to market and sell, for one simple reason: almost everyone is selling them. It’s the law of supply and demand. If there is less of some commodity on the market, its price will go up – and vice versa. This is why private labels are getting better traffic and increasing sales: they are unique i.e. they are completely different from the rest of the products. If you want to know more, read on. Here is what you need to do in order to create a brand for Amazon as well as a private label.
1. Follow your passion
This sounds generic, but it’s not. The more passionate you are about something, the better the end result will be. Turning a product into a brand requires a lot of hard work and determination. But, if you don’t enjoy what you’re doing, you won’t be able to do it on a high-performance level, which means that the end result will not be what you imagined in the first place. A brand means an extension of one’s personality and character.
Therefore, if you really want to private-label a product and sell it as a brand, while earning good money in the process, be sure to choose something you really love. Then, all the things from marketing that product to handling customer service will be a breeze – you will love every minute of it. Many people laugh at the notion of having your “passion” as part of your business, but this is actually the safest road to success. And the best method for maintaining success in the long run.
2. Be (extremely) patient
This is one of the most important factors behind the success of any business. If you are not patient enough, you simply won’t make it as an online seller. Ever. Remember this rule: there is no such thing as an overnight success – it simply doesn’t exist. Behind every so-called “overnight success”, there are usually 5-10 years of hard work, determination and persistence. The actual manifestation of success happens overnight, but it’s just the final 5% of the puzzle.
You have to actively work on your patience if you want to reap the benefits and make it big. Every brand of today started out as an unrecognizable “product on the shelf”. It took years, or even decades, before those products turned into major brands dominating the market today. So, don’t worry if you’re not making significant progress after a couple of weeks – you’re not supposed to. Private labels may take some time before they catch on but, once they do – there’s no turning back.
3. Perfect the design
If you really want to stand out from the crowd, and create a unique private label, it has to show in your design as well. So many brands have struggled in the market because of one simple reason: their design was sub-par. Yes – it’s that important. The better your product design is, the better it will look in customer searches. So many sellers forget how important visual appeal is. Do you know that a significant portion of the customer base will prefer one product over the other simply because it looks better?
This is especially important in the online world, where customers can only look at your products and product descriptions before they actually have them in their hands. Therefore, be sure to perfect the design of your product – so that it turns into a private label brand and dominates a given niche. Choose the right colors, pay attention to the fonts, market to the right demographics, etc.. If your design is exquisite, it will definitely show in your sales.
